This Jay-Z Ad For His Samsung-Backed Album Has Been Seen 1 Million Times In 24 Hours
First person to send me a photo of Jay-Z with an iPhone taken after this announcement wins a prize.
Android.
Sad that I even had to write this.
iOS takes up ~1 GB. Android does too, but Samsung added so much junk to the GS4 that it needs an extra ~7 GB.
Samsung plays up the MicroSD card slot, but you can’t install apps on the card.
Another problem: I noticed a lot of legacy features from the GS3 still on the GS4 like S Voice, the shitty Siri wannabe that no one uses thanks to Google Now.
The phone hasn’t launched yet.
Ugh, Samsung.
Quiz:
Joe Consumer walks into AT&T. He sees the $200 iPhone 5 and the $250 Galaxy S4.
What does he choose?
This is Samsung’s Beyonce moment.
But seriously, read the story. Very interesting look at Samsung’s Korean HQ by Sam Grobart.
Apple:
The Retina display on iPhone ushered in the era of super-high-resolution displays. Its pixel density is so high, your eye can’t distinguish individual pixels. The images and words are amazingly vivid and crisp. Everything just looks so real. In fact, once you see a Retina display, you’re never satisfied with anything less. Yet it remains a feature found only on iPhone and other Apple products.
Actually, Apple is the only company that brands its display as “Retina.” There are plenty of other phone displays that have “pixel density so high, your eye can’t distinguish individual pixels.”
Just me teaching Paul Krugman how to use his Galaxy S III.
Samsung has been playing up its enterprise story a lot lately. Now there’s a commercial about it. With hipsters. And unicorns. And that guy from “30 Rock.”
